About us
The Glebe has a long history as the inner west's leading source of local news.
Our readers are highly educated and socially aware, demanding a high-quality local newspaper.
As well as reporting on local issues, The Glebe leads by example, lobbying for residents' rights and supporting community campaigns.
Recently the paper had a redesign by dropping the glossy look and returning to its roots as a traditional-look newspaper.
As part of this transformation, The Glebe has sought to better reflect our diverse area. We now combine our hard-news reports with stories about artistic pursuits, covering exhibitions, theatre and band performances.
We remain loyal to our long-term readers who have always relied on The Glebe to tell them what goes on in their backyard. To achieve this we have introduced two different editions of the paper which cover the Marrickville and Leichhardt local government areas. Residents within those boundaries now have several pages dedicated solely to local news.
The Glebe can now boast that it is the only local newspaper that honestly represents the very unique and eclectic residents of the inner west.
