THE Newtown Jets drew with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in a NSW Cup match on Saturday at the Crest Stadium. The score was 19-19 with Tyrone Shelley and Tevita Folau scoring tries for the Jets. Ben Green scored three conversions and Luke Millwood one field goal.

THE tigers outplayed the snakes in a tough NSW Cup match at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday. Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers beat the Cronulla Cobras with a 30-22 score. Both sides took the lead throughout the match, going almost try-for-try for 68 minutes until Balmain stepped up the tempo to take an eight-point lead and victory.

THE UTS Jets defeated Sydney University in their first and second grade matches in the Tertiary Rugby League on Saturday at St Johns Oval at Sydney University. The UTS Jets have won the first-grade premiership for the last two seasons, and last season were the second grade runners-up. All the clubs in the competition are made up of current and past students and a portion of non students.
